While the Puppy Bowl is the most well-known Super Bowl related spin-off event, the Kitten Bowl was established as a competitor to the Puppy Bowl. The first Kitten Bowl happened in 2014 and the event does not have the same level of recognition the Puppy Bowl has. So I have created this topic to increase awareness for the Kitten Bowl, even though I prefer the Puppy Bowl more.

While the Kitten Bowl and Puppy Bowl are aired on different TV channels, the 2 events do not overlap with each other so it is possible to watch both events on TV.

I don't expect too many people to know about the Kitten Bowl. Actually, it was only last year I learned there was actually a Kitten Bowl. That says a lot about the Kitten Bowl's current level of recognition compared to the far more established Puppy Bowl.

As a pet owner, I prefer cats. However, puppies are far more distinguishable than kittens which makes for a far better event. I'd rather have Puppy Bowl with the Kitty Halftime Show.

This is a true statement. When it comes to puppies, there's a much wider variance in the appearance and size of different dog breeds. You can have very small dogs and very big dogs, and other sizes in between. Cat breeds on the other hand don't have as much variance in their appearance and fully grown adult size.

The Kitten Bowl clearly needs more time to build up a larger reputation and awareness among people. It's only been around for 5 years, compared to 14 years for the Puppy Bowl.
