After a while there just doesn't seem to be any way of hitting him with the sword so it just becomes a matter of spamming Din's Fire and hopefully having a magic potion ready.

I beat him really easily with the master sword just a couple months ago on 3ds. I remembered him being tougher

Everytime I've fought it I feel like the fight is bugged or something but I usually have Biggoron Sword by then so if it gets too annoying I'll kick it's ass with that.

Wasn't the guy's whole gimmick that you had to attack him without Z-targeting? I remember doing something like that. He goes down easy
