I heard its not very effective although it could help recovery time if you do get it. I also heard that it takes a couple weeks for it to "kick in" so to speak.

If you want to have a low chance of it being effective, a long with the risks of it making you sick for a few days after taking it, and the risk of developing Guillain-Barr syndrome--- all just to try to outsmart mother nature (not going to happen)--- go for it.

Exactly. It's a pharmaceutical sham with false hopes and empty promises. If you're autoimmune compromised and it's a life or death situation, fine, take it.

But the way it's being advertised shoved down people's throats is a sin. It doesn't work. It makes people sick. It has a chance of paralyzing people.

I've known so many people who take the flu shot, or who have taken it. Some get the flu anyway. Others, it's made them sick. And then some don't get the flu---but guess what? Either do I.

I don't think there's anyone I've ever met that says they religiously take the flu shot and never get the flu. And if that's true, great---but I don't get the flu either.

This year's flu vaccine is something like 10% effective against the H3N2 strain that's making headlines now and about 33% effective overall. Experts still say it's a good idea to get vaccinated anyway since it'll reduce your risk of getting influenza. It'll also lessen the severity of the illness even if you do contract it.

But as you said, allow a couple weeks for your immune system to develop antibodies to the virus after vaccination for full effect.

Totally, dude. I hear you 100%. In fact, I don't wear my seatbelt because I don't get into car accidents. It's a sham, plus, I've heard some people died from seatbelts not unlocking in a major crash. Yeesh, people are suckers for wearing them. I don't and I'm fine!

MMR is vastly more effective than the annual "guess and pray" flu vaccine.

people wouldnt have problems with vaccines if they didnt put mercury, aluminum and msg in them. and you know why people are dropping dead from the flu even though they are healthy? because they arent healthy and their immune systems are weak from getting vaccines when they were younger, they just dont know it until they get sick. where do all the toxic metals go once in the blood stream? straight to the brain.

people need to wake up.

The point is to get vaccinated as it's the best method of prevention.

...unless there's a good reason not to, which reacting badly to it for several years in a row pretty much covers.

What about medical professionals who have to get the flu shot because of their job? If it wasn't effective, wouldn't doctors, nurses, etc...be dropping like flies due to constantly being exposed to the flu?
