Jason Mamoa needs good writing to back him.
In GoT he had silent charisma and fury. Not much in terms of lines but he wasnt in in it for long. In Frontier he's still charismatic but his lines can lean on cringey. The show shoves his name (Declan Harp) down your throat so much you get sick of him. Cheesy lines don't work for him imo. He's gonna play the king of Atlantis. they should start over. even if they ever manage to get on track, there will be a long horrifying wreck behind them for history to remember. at least the MCU only has the one Hulk movie.

Thats MCU (Marvel) And its gonna be stronger than standard Marvel movies because of the focus on african culture- a market for superheroes that has been untapped in recent memory (dont say blade or spawn).
