Conservative commentator Britt McHenry, who is outspoken and blond like the fictional SVU character, called the episode disturbing and said NBC could normalize violence against pundits who share her views -- especially because police seem to be against the victim.

Ive received insults, death threats, and even my mother has been attacked online. For SVU to depict rape and violence in such a manner, the show risks normalizing it, McHenry told Fox News.

The entire episode was peppered with political talking points and observations that portrayed conservatives in a negative light and painted the right-leaning pundit as a troll -- a term invoked b y Ice-Ts character.

The case appears to be closed until alt-right leader Randy Platt, who attended the University rally, becomes a person of interest. The NBC show appears to conflate supporters of President Donald Trump with white supremacists when Platt, a Grand Wizard of the group Patriots for the American Way, says he wants to Make America Great Again.

He then points out every minority juror, once again pushing the racist Trump supporter narrative.

The episode ends with Cobbs lawyer moving to dismiss the case entirely over a personal moral dilemma.

From titling the show Info Wars, to placing signs reading CNN is ISIS, (an Infowars slogan) to mimicking Infowars reporter Millie Weaver, there is little doubt that NBC is demonizing the nations leading independent media outlet.

what she said is she's gotten death threats in the past, therefore, an episode about this can't exist because she thinks it will encourage more death threats. No one sent death threats based on this episode. they're crying about something that didn't happen and playing the victim for something that didn't happen.

Isn't Law & Order literally power-fantasy fanfiction based on real-life crimes? Also the fact they make defense lawyers look like the bad guy, and violent cops look like heroes. That is not how it works at all. Hell, you could make a YouTube series out of how often people's rights are violated.

Wasn't one case in L&O solved on the logic of "Married couples don't use condoms"? What kind of old wife nonsensical bullshit is that!? The testicles don't have an on/off switch.

At one point, Ice-Ts character, Fin Tutuola, who was investigating the case, asked a colleague, You know she wants all Jews and Muslims to convert to Christianity, right?

this is kinda fucked up to put in the show. Ice T is supposed to be one of the good guys of the show. and here we have him making an inappropriate comment about a rape victim. just cause she has that view doesn't make it ok to rape her. and that comment suggests that Ice T thinks it does make it ok. I haven't seen the episode and I am not opposed to the basic plot but it sounds like the episode was peppered with victim blaming. and that's fucked up
