Who has permanent friends? We all have less and less friends when we get older. People move, and stuff or you just go different routes in life and you forget each other. Having actual life long friend/s is rare.

liberals care more about APPEARING to help minorities than actually helping them. that's why they invited those illegals to attend the speech even though Trump could have arrested them all. and if that had happened, it would have destroyed the trust between the democrat party and minorities because they led them to the lion's den as a sacrifice.

So is this supposed to mean that black people die a lot or something. Or are killed a lot.

No permanent friends....they die. No permanent enemies....they die.

Topics like this should be modded and taken down but I guess it isnt clear cut racism enough for the mods.

I can't decide which of these posts is the dumbest . What a tough choice

It's only race baiting when it's expressed from a minority perspective as far as this board is concerned.

Now do you get why I treat this board with such disdain?

Because nobody gets what it means and nobody wants to explain what it means.

maybe you should explain what it means, TC. cause I honestly have no idea. it's like reading another language. I just....don't understand what it's saying

I dunno that it has any special meaning beyond what teh words say, though. I think it is emphasizing black people as an interest group in and of themselves, to which the CBC is committed beyond other issue or identity based groups

Hmm I guess if you feel like someone has to be aligned with your interests to be your friend, or against them to be your enemy it works.

What I don't like about it is it primes any discourse with a layer of animosity. So instead of going in attempting to change someone's mind by being rational, it's combative straight out of the box because the other person is an enemy. Though maybe by saying no permanent enemies, it allows for that discourse.

I could be reading it all wrong.

So how in the hell are interests permanent? The fuck is this dude saying? Repeating yourself does no one any favors since common sense would dictate that the first time around wasn't understood. You think it's simple, fantastic. Others don't.

That is a lot different than saying no one wanted to explain it. Did you read the topic before saying that, like all of it? Because obviously I was trying to do that, even if I did a bad job.

that is why I responded to the person at all, because even though I think it is simple I thought that my explanation might help some one who thought it wasn't. Instead of just being mad would you please engage me in a conversation and let me know what you don't understand?

An interest in my life is called survival. As for actual interests, fuck no I'm not arrogant enough to think my interests will remain the same all throughout my life.

Not necessarily, if anything it reflects an openness and objectivity to discourse (particularly with one who might've been an enemy but can now benefit you), and shunts the preconceived notions that might get in the way of that.

I like it, it's a solid, adaptable way of thinking - in certain arenas anyways
