When I went back to mama house for more of my belongings, I felt more at home there. I wanted to stay. Save money. Be secure. Sleep comfortably.

But nah. Stupid girlfriend talked me into getting an apartment with her because she "felt ready". I should have never agreed to it. Could have bought a car or a house instead.

I'm going to hate 2018.

this right here is the truth. i understand how things are here. you are expected to move out, especially if you have a GF/BF...but why rush that when you can wait a bit and do it when you truly are ready to BUY and start building a real future?

I mean the place is habitable, I suppose. And we did look around for months. This being or first apartment, our main concern was the price. This was lowest by far. I now see why.

clean the place up and leave some windows open and that should at least take care of the bugs and moisture. Dunno about plumbing and the bums though, you could scare the bums away or something.

Plumbing situation should be handled by landlord. Bums are gonna happen, so are spiders and insects. Just spray some bug repellent around your doorways and stuff. I do it at my house and I haven't seen a spider or bug indoors in years.

bug repellent isnt going to do shit with roaches, that is legit pest infestation problem that you will need an exterminator to spray for

True, my bad. At least it will keep other bugs away. Still, landlord should handle that kinda stuff anyway, if they're worth anything.
