So naturally I saved the day by speed running it straight to where she left off. 6 hours to get back to Fungitown and level 21.

This game is great. Hadn't played it since the original GBA version.

Scolded him, but not too harshly. It was an accident and he doesn't really understand save features yet. I did the same when I was a kid. No game privileges for a week (he only gets to play on weekends as it is).

So far nothing has jumped out at me to say yes. It has a new side game called Minion quest in which you're a Goomba trying to find bowser while fighting a civil war between those loyal to bowser and those who want to take over... Actually sounds kinda cool after writing that.

I'd say no if you have DS or SP in good shape to play it. Updated graphics and minor tweaks are nice but the core gameplay is the same.

it's a fair punishment, i got sentenced to no video games for 2-3 days for something i did when i was in the 3rd grade.
somehow it remains blocked out from the cause.

I haven't played the original since it came out but I'm tempted to get this version eventually. I remember it being extremely enjoyable even if I did get stuck at one point because I wasn't paying attention.

Yeah the game doesn't give you too much guidance at some points. If you scrolled past the informant information they give you (like Prince Peasely who flies off) you can be lost.
