Seems like it's trying to be the Witcher or something. It should stick to it's niche.

Well I certainly have no interest in it.

I liked God of War. It was a good solid game. Then God of War 2 comes along and it's like, okay, fine-tuning things and expanding on what you established. Kinda samey but eh.

Then God of War 3 comes along and it's like okay, it looks nice and it plays well and...it feels a lot like I've done all this before.

By that point I just kinda lost all interest in the series.

And what I saw of the new one came across to me like people went "Shit, God of War was successful, but we have no idea how to continue it after what we wrote ourselves into, and with how repetitive it got" and then everything just flapped their arms while making penguin noises for 17 hours straight and that game happened.

It doesn't look good but I'm sure it'll be a hit sales wise. It's funny because a lot of people said the series was stale and needed to switch it up so it went in a new direction that's stale at this point as well.

If they went Darksiders II route and made it a kinda open world action RPG that would have been a cool path to take.

Apparently the son is 99% self sufficient. Meaning you won't be dealing with having to guide him around and watch his ass every second.

He's more of a utility character for Kratos. I also think he's going to be a red herring.

It looks awesome and is being helmed by Cory Barlog who is awesome and directed God of War II, the best game in the series and one of the best games ever. So yeah, I'm hyped. It's going to sell a crazy amount.
