This. It butchered the base gameplay and simplified it then added in stock that's pooled. A good online team can just target one player first, break them, target another, kill, break the third, kill the first, by that time the second (who was killed) is back and gets broke, then the third dies. Plus infinite combos are back because you recover slower than frozen molasses.

That's perfectly fine and valid and called "being good at the game" that's not an issue.

It's just not the best fighting game ever.

You could maybe have an argument for it's the best 3v3 anime fighter but that's it.

Perhaps but it also takes away a lot of the emphasis on skill that the previous game had.

When you say 3v3 are you including ones like MvC or whatnot where you have 3 party members but all controlled by a single player, or in the sense that there's actually 6 players at once?

Besides offline bot practice and timed trials, there's basically just online play. Left room for more store cut scenes but at the expense of a story mode.

No the skill was just moved to teamwork and ability to rapidly manage multiple targets.

And I'm not counting games like mvc or dbfz. I meant 6 players at once like J-Stars Victory Vs
