Current Events > I saw a glitch in Vice City once that I never heard of, that disturbs me still.

For those who don't know, this was back when GTA as still very gamey, so like there were pickups that just floated off the ground all glowy and stuff.

Outside owned properties that generate an income, there's a floating icon you go through to get your money.

One time, for no apparent reason when I was playing, that floating, neon glowy icon became like...real. Solid. It fell to the ground and was making a lot of crashy sounds with the ground as it just violently struggled against it.

And I just stood there staring, dumbfounded. How... Why is that even a thing that can happen? It's an intangible floaty gamey icon thing. Why did it have some kind of physics to physically interact with the world and what would even cause that to glitch out and happen?

It's like one step away from the UI suddenly being affected by gravity and falling on the floor. >_>

Honestly, that does not sound out of the ordinary. Vice City was a glitchy game to begin with.

This is the first time I've seen Mike Matei and I'm disappointed because I always imagined the HEART kid from Captain Planet.

It's a semi common glitch for floating objects in that game become solid. If you've ever been doing the boathouse mission and wrecked your boat for no reason while collecting a pick up, that's what happened
