They didn't actually use the word "sandwich;" I'm just recounting an experience.

I've also had people, looking directly at their food, ask which drink was Coke and which was Sprite, and which was the Whopper and which was the Whopper Jr.

Not sure what your point is. But regardless, it's important to pay attention to what you're ordering. If not, you'll probably wind up paying more than you should. People have ordered a Bacon King (6 strips of bacon) with no bacon, when they could have gotten a Double Whopper with the same ingredients for significantly less money.

okay i never figured out the math, but whats cheaper?

burger+fries alone or with a combo? because i sometimes dont need a drink and buy the burger and fries separate but i think i might be overpaying but again never calculated the math.

i feel like i should get the combo and tell them no drink cup in this case.

I've had people at Subway ask for Chicken Bacon Ranch without bacon. And I was like, so chicken then. And they say, "No. A Chicken Bacon Ranch without Bacon." If they aren't mean(or will at least listen), I try to explain to them that you can get a Chicken and put Ranch on it as Ranch doesn't cost anything. The nice ones who listen thank me...
