Never understood why dumping someone over text is such a bad thing. It's painful enough with just words on the screen, why would you want to be face to face with the person that just ripped your heart out and left you in the cold to die

but I knew it wasn't gonna work out and was planning on breaking up with her for a few weeks and finally decided to get it over with rather than drag it out. She got me a gift tho and had her friend drive it by my place after I dumped her lol.

last two breakups I had over the phone

- first girl claimed her grandmother was dying and wanted to spend her last months with her
- second girl claims she was starting school and wouldn't have time to be with me

if it were over text messaging, maybe they wouldn't have sugar coated it

I would have preferred being dumped by text message than the crap I had to go through when I was dating tbh.

I went on one date with a girl once and she was the first person ever mature enough to tell me it wasn't going to work out because she wasn't really looking for something (plus I could tell from the date our lifestyles weren't necessarily compatible), and she told me that through text and it was really refreshing.

no. I never printed it out or anything like that. and I no longer have the account. I don't really remember her exact words. I just remember how it made me feel. what I did used to still have for like at least 10 years after, was her love letter that she wrote to me when she first asked me out. for whatever reason I could not bear to throw it away, even after I was dumped. kept it in my room in a drawer. then we moved to another house and I thought I saw it once but later when I looked for it, it wasn't there. and I never saw it again. so I don't know what happened to it. but maybe it's good that something did. it was probably fucked up for me to keep it.
