And those games aren't just being played by older players. There are new players that just discovered those games.

In some cases I do find it neat when older games are introduced to younger gamers after they've played the later releases (i.e. Morrowind, Deus Ex, Baldur's Gate, etc.) and despite how archaic some of them can be, said gamers might enjoy the earlier releases.
