Beards are intimidating because they mask your facial expressions and make you seem cold and stoic -- something that my personality already amplifies.
I have a weak jaw/mouth so as soon as I could grow a full beard I've kept one. I've had it for 3 years (in varying lengths) but I've always wanted to go clean shaven for a little bit just to see what it looks like.
