In less than 7 hours, it will finally be updated to version 1.0. The price will remain the same at $25.00. But this would be a good time to buy it and get it downloaded if you don't own the game already. That way you'll only have to download a patch. If you live in the middle of nowhere with shitty internet like me, then it's best to get a jump on it lol.

I have owned the game for a few years now, and have enjoyed it thoroughly. It is the best underwater game that I am aware of. Currently it is sitting at "Overwhelmingly Positive" on steam, with a 96% approval rating. I have personally played it about 100 hours total..and for $25.00, that's pretty good.

I particularly like the base building aspect. The way you progress from basic flippers into a submarine with an impenetrable shield powered by ion power cells..is satisfying. It's also a mobile base that you can use to extend your reach into the deepest reaches of the ocean. It's a unique experience. No other game does underwater survival better.

I imagine that a lot of the people interested already own it, but if not, it can give you something to do until Monster Hunter comes out..for sure. It's what I will be doing.

Haven't played in a while (and on Xbox), they were slowly adding and updating a story I believe they're close if not already done with it. But exploring is the main draw.

Anyway I really really like the game but it's kinda tedious in the beginning, I've restarted many times due saves lost and updates or bugs and I almost can't stand it even if I cheat to unlock stuff faster I get greedy and can't stop cheating lol.

I was super bummed out after they cancelled plans for co-op multiplayer, almost put me off the game entirely but it's still pretty good.

100 feet of ocean???? When was the last time you played?? The map is a good size. Especially for $25. If I were to pick something to complain about it would be the fact that you don't really get real weaponry to take out threats. But that is a deliberate design choice. There are ways to get them off your tail, freeze them still, or push them away. You can kill some of the big stuff, but it's not worth the effort. I can see why people would complain about that. But the map doesn't come to mind to me as an issue to be honest. I never thought it small. Did you ever get a submarine with depth upgrades? There's more to see farther down.

All I remember is getting the weird nautilus looking submarine and finding almost nothing when I went to the deeper water. As I recall, They had big manta ray kinda things and some glowy caves but realized it was very repetitive.

In your case I would direct you to the wiki to find you some cool upgrades or machine blueprints. They can be difficult to find if you are looking for something specific. I use beacons to mark and name everything as I go. Maybe try that to get a sense of where everything is. Sometimes you have to look for materials for another upgrade, but it's all towards an end goal to escape the planet. I found the progression rather rewarding and not grindy imo.

That's the 1.0 update. The game ends when you escape and enter space. Crashed ship? You mean the Aurora? P.R.A.W.N. (powersuit) blueprints are in there, and a power cell that doubles energy efficiency in your submarine. Furniture is there too to scan, and some story content, but those are the main reasons to go there since I last played a few months ago.

It's no metacritic sure, but I've played NMS and Subnautica extensively. NMS is shit. Subnautica is great. Just gotta take my word for it man. Not going to lose sleep if you don't believe me though lol.

Not yet, they said they want to add it but Sony doesn't have an Early access program like PC/Xbox, Xbox version isn't even the full release yet but when they finish that I'm sure they'll start working on PS4.
