I have never played the new God of War but I can guarantee it will be loaded with moments where Kratos and his son must walk slowly and talk, there will probably be some dumbass busywork element like crafting, etc. It is God of War in the sense that the devs tacked on Kratos to sell the game to Sony fans based on brand recognition, but it will play like every other game in the faceless genre</quote> This is a very bitter beard post</quote> prove me wrong then</quote> ... It's risky and gut wrenching to see a child character being killed because very few mediums are willing to go there. I'd love to see it start off kinda soft, like a more aged and weathered Kratos. Now this new one is a serious game with silly themes pretending that they're serious themes, and it's probably going to half-ass it trying. If you want to establish a ridiculous character like Kratos and then try to rewrite that character with a more serious gritty tone you better do an A+ job of it. I'm not ruling it out. Logan worked, right? But I just don't have high hopes for God of War here.
