It's pretty ironic that the area it was first designed for is the only one (between mobile, server and desktop) it hasn't penetrated much. I think Linus had something to say about that. ... Copied to Clipboard!

There needs to be some reason for a mass exodus away from Windows, and I cant see anything causing that on traditional desktops. The Windows 8 "fiasco" of neckbeards raging about change(plus Valve putting some consumer name recognition behind it) was probably the best chance Linux had(in its traditional form) of penetrating the consumer desktop market.
