I've more or less had it figured out so no. Had one year of scrambling to get shit together and missed an application cycle for med school, but now I'm finished with all that and as long as I don't fuck up royally I should be fine.

Im 23 and I fully support myself. Ive had a lot of fun and also learned a ton of things. Overall Im pretty satisfied with where I am. Im not as comfortable financially as I want to be but Im not far off either.

The only thing I regret is not taking school more seriously. I took almost 2 years off with only 30 credits to go on my bachelors. Need to just knock it out. That was a lesson itself though that you dont always have to learn through traditional avenues.

Kind of, yeah. I'm 23 and I THINK I have a lot of shit figured out for the foreseeable future. Nice paying job, putting towards my 401k, investments for my own business etc....but since I've said that I have things figured out, it probably means I have nothing figured out lol

Feeling like you got it all figured out just means youre being lulled into a sense of complacency

Idk, I just feel like you have to constantly be learning and processing new information and using that to re-evaluate your position and direction.

No I dont regre anything. Ive made a lot of mistakes and learned a lot of hard lessons, and theyve helped shape me into who I am today.

I regret that I'm almost 23 and don't really have it figured out

That said, I'm on track to finish my bachelor's this year. After that it's my master's and then either s PhD or the big bad world of work.

Bachelor's degree at 22/23 is not bad at all

It's a three year course here. My friends back in the UK got their degrees over a year ago, my friends here back in September. Had I not started from scratch in the middle of it, I would have been among them <_<

I started my trade when I was 24. Guys I work with will have their license when they're 22-24. Shit happens man. Don't dwell on it. For every 100 people who are ahead, there's a million behind brother.

I hear you man. Thanks <3

Super interested in your perspective since you mentioned in a different topic that you grew up in a fundamentalist evangelical home. If you don't mind sharing.

I never really bought into what my parents or the church was selling, at a young age it just taught me to lie well, but around the time I was 18 I was comfortable separating from the church and that whole life style and being independent. Would have been nice I guess if my current world view was found when I was 18, fundamentalism does a good job teaching hate and while I rejected a lot of the stuff I didn't realize how deep the hate was. They of course would never say they hated people, the whole "hate the sin, not the sinner" but I don't recall a single person I knew actually living by that, hating people is too much fun.

So no, don't think I have any regrets as far as how long it took me to figure stuff out. Would have been nice to be quicker but im happy where I am today and if I changed something back then, maybe wouldn't be where i am today.
