He also made a series of combat aircraft in Kerbal Space Program which was entertaining to watch, and I just finished his series on From the Depths and I think I want to give that a try now. --- RS3: UltimaSuende . Not everybody has the necessary reaction speed or the ability to memorize complicated routes that can go on for hours. I dont get the appeal of lets plays but speed runs are vastly different. If you dont get the appeal you can at least admit most people arent gonna be capable of pulling off a WR encroaching time on games like Super Metroid or SM64. A lot of fighting game competitions are out there too. Those have an obvious sports like appeal of competition. A match between top tier players is much different than watching your friends play at the arcade. To top it off twitch as an app makes all the viewing really simple. With video games you can sit on your ass, have matchmaking find people for you, and most importantly they're designed for people like you to play them to their full potential. They're also not meant to be viewed. Spectator sports evolved into something that struck a strong balance between players and viewers because viewers were highly essential to their popularity and success. Pro sports are also about the local community. How often do you find people wearing "TeAm xXx LiiQuiiD" shirts in public?
