Nah, the manga is pretty different from the anime. It's a lot more concise and has a few differences, like explaining that the Zenos were going to wipe out the 8 weaker universes anyway and it was only Goku reminding him of the tournament that gave the winning universe a chance at not being wiped out.

there are some key differences in the resolution of the zamasu arc.
also the zen exhibition match never happened in the manga. instead all the gods of destruction had a little mini battle royale

Oh, I thought in the anime it was implied that the universes were only going to be wiped out because Goku reminded the Zenos about the tournament, therefore the entire thing was basically his fault. Then again, I don't watch the anime religiously and mostly go on what's said on topics here, so fair enough if I'm wrong on that one.

ExTha PREDIX: Vegeta and Goku getting the upperhand on Jiren, but Toppo elims 17 and Gohan, so Vegeta has to go fight him.

Toppo gets the upper hand on Vegeta when his Royal Blue power runs out and you think Toppo gonna elim him but ULTRA INSTINCT AWAKENS, and he manages to toss Toppo out.

Frieza and Dyspo do something who cares.

Goku taps into UI again but can't beat Jiren still coz he only got half of it, so Jiren god stomps again.

Potara time. Vegetto time. Combined, they are able to use both halfs of UI, gg Jiren

The first two arcs are retellings of the Battle of Gods and Resurrection of F movies ( but not as good as those movies) then it gets better after that once you get to the first tournament that they do with Universe 6 and the quality just continues to increase from there
