But, it's a form that has a decent survival rate. Over 70% of people with this cancer live over a year, over 55% live 5+ years after the diagnosis.

Sadly though, it does have some negative (and painful) complications, can affect your personality and other things nobody wants to deal with.

On the plus side you have lost 20 pounds already and want to lose more, which is highly likely to happen.

There are options to fight it, including Chemo, and bone marrow transplants, but you are not at that stage
yet.

Good diet, staying fit (Getting exercise etc), can also help reduce and prevent many of the symptoms.

Some of the complications are going to require many (frequent) trips to the hospital.

That being said, you have a decent amount of money, are still able to get around fairly well, and an over all positive attitude. You do not have any responsibilities (nobody you are taking care of etc), and have the freedom to travel or do whatever you want.

What would you do?

If surgery wasn't an option I'd go for the seeds, I'd much rather have targeted chemo than a bone marrow transplant.

So the options are taking care of yourself and going to the doctor to stay alive, or to eat whatever you want and putter about until you cant live on your own anymore and then die?

Id go with the former option myself. I like being alive

I had rectal cancer. I noticed blood in my toilet, and after the 3rd time noticing it, I figured it was worth seeing a doctor. Glad I did, because if I had waited longer, the tumor might have gotten worse and spread.

this is pretty grim to think about, and have no idea why this topic was made...

I lost both my dad and dog to cancer, any type is horrible for anyone or thing to have and go through. can't imagine the mental and physical pain involved with dealing with it.
