As long as you have smoked and intend to smoke in the future, you are a smoker. If you say I'm not going to smoke, then you have quit smoking and are no longer a smoker. If you smoke again afterwards, guess what? You're a smoker again. Now you may say, what if I quit after every smoke?! Well, if you honestly keep trying to quit and failing, then you're an on/off smoker or you're lying to yourself and you're not actually quitting.
