Board 8 > I Started Back to School Today. Please help.

So everyone around me is buried in their phone and nowadays all of my friends are working at this hour. I can't sit and text about frivolous nonsense with them. Also I feel like engaging any of these kids who are 7 years younger than me in conversation is creepy.

Please help by posting things in this topic I can respond to so I can look like I'm buried in my phone so I can prevent social interaction.

Well one is something I read and the other is something I sell at the store without ever picking any of it up. I'll get to manga once I finish comics. Like, the entire genre. Once I've knocked out all comics, I'll get to manga.

That's such a massive undertaking that I don't know where to start. I think most of my joy in comics comes from imagining worlds of my own. World-building is such a fascinating process, and diving into detail provides no end of contentment for me. Running my D&D styled RPG set in 1999 Gotham has given me enough reason to spend more time tinkering with a universe I absolutely adore. I guess the top 1000 things are really the next 1000 things. I anticipate great things to come.

also a sketchbook is pro for looking like you're doing something and avoiding social interaction. you can just sit and sketch the people around you.

I really don't have an empty shop too often. I've developed a crowd of people who congregate to socialize, the line up fluctuating over the course of the day. My free hours are rare at this point.

This sounds great for artists, of which I am not. Normally I would write, but it's standing room only outside of every class during the first week for some reason. When I head to the library after classes, I'll get to set and work.

Classes - 2 lit classes and a science. Going to finally knock out this Creative Writing degree this year.

That's awesome! Glad to hear you're doing wonders for the place.

Use the downtime in class to plan out stories or things you can utilize later in your classes. That usually comes in handy. I speak from experience since I have an English Writing degree >_>
