Just wondering. I used to live there back in 1991. It was where I was introduced to Street Fighter. I actually got to play the original one time and it was weird because the buttons were all separated by these little coaster things. Always played SF2 there though.

Anyone know if they still have SF2 anywhere?

OMG, I literally was just going to make a similar topic right now- but figured I should do a search first. I was going to ask if the Pizza Hut in Agana is still there and if everything inside is still the same or not. But apparently no one is going to answer based on your topic. Lol.

Speaking of SF2, I was on Guam when it first came out on the SNES. We used to bring the system to school, hook it up on the TV of any of the "cool" teachers rooms and have competitions during lunch breaks.

I actually left much later than you though, around 1996.

oh yeah, what school did you go to? I was there when SF2 first came out. Nintendo had just come out too and was all the rage. Everyone was into Punch Out, Mario, and Donkey Kong, those were the 3 big games at the time, at least there. I lived in Dededo. Also, I remember Micronesia mall had TMNT arcade, but it was the NES version on arcade, which was interesting. They used to have SF2 at a gas station down the street from Finegayan Elementary, where I started Kindergarten.

I figured you for a military kid which is what most people who filter through Guam for a short time are.

But I guess not? I'm sort of that but not really, my dad was contracted by all the military branches so I did move around a lot but had longer stints than the average military kid.

I was originally at naval station so I did Agat elementary route. But then my dad was tired of paying rent for military housing so we bought a house not far from you, in Barrigada heights right before hitting Dededo. The mall was mere minutes away drive from my house. But I stayed in the southern school district so I "commuted" 30 minutes to school and back.

Yeah he was in the military, Navy to be exact. Did you ever go to the beach at the base? Best beach on the island and good fried rice on base too.
