If so, why not? Do you have an aversion to money? Or are you sending a fuck you to your future self.

I didn't know a damn thing at first either dude, just do research. Ask people stuff, watch videos, read books, etc.. almost nothing is more important than sharpening your financial acumen. When your money knowledge is tight you can live a very comfortable 20s and 30s and a great 40s 50s and 60s.

Yep. I don't really care about money. The idea of investments sickens me a bit to be honest, it's kind of like legalised but informed gambling.

Why don't you have disposable income. Usually when people are poor it's because they have a "poor person" mentality in regards to how they allocate their money.

Can you stop acting obtuse and explain yourself? Poor people are poor because they aren't using their money efficiently. That's my stance. You can have little money and turn that into more money. What is your argument? "Thing is thing because it's thing" is nonsense. Sounds like you just want to say stuff.

Depends on their situation. I would need to know their situation to assess how they got in such bad shape and how they can get out of it. There's always a way. Money is just numbers and numbers can always be manipulated.

Hustling may need to be involved.

Dude addressing your last post:

You think because you watched some investing youtube videos that you're some kind of finance guru?

"Money is just numbers and numbers can be manipulated"

How do you manipulate a 0?

Um, videos is part of learning which is part of what you need to do if you know little or nothing. People that are bad with money need to learn more. Is my tone throwing you off? Maybe Im not articulating myself well. Im trying to talk as simply as I can.

Ive been studying finance and economics since 8th grade. I dont think Im a financial guru. But yeah. I think Im financially whatever enough to make this topic.

Most people are poor because theyre spending too much money on stuff, they dont know how to cut costs, dont give a shit about fees, interests, etc.. This Ive what Ive dealt with and seen over the past several years. This is coming from someone growing up in a city full of people who dont even know what an IRA is. So Im not interested in someone telling me anything to the contrary. Literally trying to argue against my first hand experiences just cause you dont like my tone.

People get triggered when someone says poor people are poor because they are inefficient with money. The statement might not be completely true but its not completely false either. Youd have to be obtuse to not see how many poor and disadvantaged people burn through money, if you lived in the projects like I did you would see what people spend on their limited resources - cigarettes, booze, phones, sneakers, needlessly high fees for services like banks because they dont research enough to find cheaper avenues like credit unions. Even shaving if $1 of services in the long run can compound to much more money over time.

But people get triggered when you point this sort of stuff out. They think youre blaming them for their own poverty. I would never do such a thing, im not saying its poor peoples fault for being poor. Fact of the matter is when youre poor, the psychological relation to money is vastly different from someone with the mindset that they should save up for retirement as early as possible. When youre poor you dont have these concerns, youre living more in the now without future financial concerns, so when they have a bit of money they burn through it without the financial concerns people with money have

I would like to know how a person gets into a situation where they somehow have ZERO disposable income if they had sufficient budgeting preparation when they were younger. Or how there is no way up from there. I would love to see that persons expenses. Thats all IM saying.
