Best post itt.

It is, but not for the reason you think.

Trump CAN imprison journalists he doesn't like, but he hasn't. Obama did though. Using the espionage act he imprisoned more than twice as many people as all other presidents before him combined.

These are the things that make it particularly humorous when former Obama youths accuse Trump of being like Hitler. They don't get it now, but in like a decade they'll be super ashamed of themselves.

Folks, here is lie number 31

Imagine Mal in real life

What's the lie here? Tell us.

What journalist did Obama imprison

http://www.washingtonsblog.com/2015/05/obama-has-sentenced-whistleblowers-to-31-times-the-jail-time-of-all-prior-u-s-presidents-combined.html

Oh, I thought you said journalists

For someone who is always such a stickler for exact wording, this is a major faux pas, Mal

A journalist is anyone who delivers news to the public. Don't get your panties in a bunch just because you found out you were wrong.

I bet each of the other 30 "lies" you are talking about have equally paper thin reasoning.

Yes, the only way you could possibly assume I was referring to the rotten apples is if you made the erroneous assumption that I like rotten apples; which is exactly what you are doing with Trump and Nazis, absent any indication that is the case.

I....what? I was literally talking about apples. My definition of a rotten apple can be different from your definition. What if mine is "any apple that isn't organic is rotten" and yours is "any apple older than 10 days is rotten?" Awfully defensive there Mal.

Again; if he wanted to be specific about who he was talking about, he would have been. You would have blasted Obama (or any Democrat really) for doing the same thing.

Mal_Fet posted...

Putting words in my mouth. You believe he was including Nazis in his statement. You have yet to explain what part of his statement indicates that.

And you've yet to explain where it indicates it doesn't rule them out.

Mal_Fet posted...
Or maybe he didn't feel the need to be super specific because he didn't expect an off-the-cuff remark to be seized by histrionic simpletons in the media to accuse the father and grandfather of jews to be a Nazi sympathizer. Is that a possibility?

Off-the-cuff? Are you fucking serious? It was a fucking press conference. Are you trying to be extra dense?

The very first whistleblower link was about an actual reporter. Also, the second half of that article listed a bunch of Obama's attacks on the press that makes Trump's "fake news" tweets look like nothing.

Again, actually read the article. Obama targeted a bunch of journalists that covered the Occupy movement, went after Fox News, went after journalists releasing info from WikiLeaks, and when some of that info was used against Bank of America, actually influenced BoA's hiring of a legal team to combat WikiLeaks and the journalists releasing the info (which, according to CableZL, would be illegal).

And the worst thing anyone can say about Trump as it relates to journalists is that he calls it "fake news." Mean tweets is somehow worse than sending journalists to prison without trial, apparently.

He was arrested over two years before that. Two years without trial, in a federal prison. Hell, a year before his defense team even got the evidence being used against him.

There are people who threatened to kill an FBI agent who've served less time than he did before he was even able to make a plea deal - that still had him in jail for another three years. For reporting on leaks of Obama policies.

It's cute though how you're trying to act like libel is the only abhorrent reason to imprison people for, even though Trump never actually did that.

So he actually did break a law, right?

Trump has mentioned many times about punishing journalists for supposed libel, that's why it is the standard here - he wants to punish people who have not broken a law

Except libel is illegal. You cannot knowingly or recklessly tell a lie in the media, and there are many, many examples of journalists over the past fifteen years at LEAST recklessly lying to push an agenda.

Disagreeing with someone isnt libel else everyone saying Obama wasnt American is libel.

Reporting about Trump loving golden showers to get Hillary Clinton elected President is, though. So is reporting on national television that millions of Americans will literally DIE if Trump's tax plan passes. So is neglecting to mention that the Middle-East Travel Ban was based on an Obama-era Executive Order doing basically the same thing, so you can push the "Trump is an Islamaphobe, and so are all of his voters!!!!" narrative.

How about maliciously editing a video to mislead the public with the intent of making someone look bad? Is that libel?

I thought you loved it when Project Veritas does that, though.

I was bored before bed tbh. I learned not to respond to him seriously when he consistently doubles down about how he believes Nazis were leftist.

Yes what Project Veritas did was libel.

What video was edited by a leftist group to make Trump look like he did/said something he didn't actually do?

What about the Hitlerish things he wanted to do but couldn't because he:
1) wasn't in a country as vulnerable in influx like that of post WWI Germany and
2) isn't nearly as intelligent or capable as Hitler was.

But that doesn't mean he hasn't tried his best.

Trump wants to be able to lock up his political enemies and sue/imprison journalists. He wants to be able to demand loyalty from the DOJ and maintains that he has the right to pardon himself. He flat out said he wanted to create a registry of Muslim citizens and have police heavily patrol "Muslim neighborhoods" He would have banned Muslims from entering the US if he could, so instead he settled for banning travel from 7 Muslim nations. He has denounced any news organization that says things about him that he doesn't like, no matter how true they are, and declares them to be "fake news" and an enemy of the American people.

Its actually very reassuring to see a president try and push his powers to the absolute limit and be met with absolute boundaries that he is powerless to overcome.

Lol the thing that made me realize just how Hitlerish Trump truly is was when Obama made a speech about how we need to not rely on these safeguards and tend to the garden of Democracy by being well informed, mature, and active voters. Otherwise we might end up the same way Nazi Germany did. And despite never even implying he was talking about Trump, let alone mentioning his name, all the Trumpanzees started absolutely flipping out claiming that Obama compared Trump to Hitler. Lol when in reality, he never even came close to doing that, they're both just so comparable that people baselessly assumed that's what he was saying. Lmao I remember reading the headlines "Obama compares Trump to Hitler!" and thinking, man, he probably shouldn't have done that lol. Then I listened to the speech and read the transcript and was confused, because that part never actually came up. Then it dawned on me that simply listing the things that Hitler did to take over Germany actually does sound like you're describing Trump, and the people most insecure about that fact were the Trumpanzees who went bananas. Lol it was hilarious. Still is.

Best post itt.

Usually I'd take pride in that, but ITT that's really not saying much... Lol there's a dude who literally quoted this post and said that all Trump has done has been to roll back as much of Obama's presidency as possible, totally ignoring all of the facts that prove him dead wrong right above his post. But this is what life is like in a post fact world.

Here's the leftist group called "CNN" editing footage of Donald Trump feeding fish in order to have something to slam him for during a slow news week:

In their original story they claim Trump was overfeeding the fish. Heavily implied that the laughs in the video were generated by Trump being stupid or something.

And I know for a fact you were on CE before it was revealed to be fake news. People were raving about how dumb Trump is and how it makes Americans look bad to the world. None of them will admit to falling for the hoax now, of course.

But he didn't. That was a fake story made up entirely by CNN. And also libel.

the video I saw had him looking pretty stupid. And like I said, there's no need to lie about that kinda thing, Trump does it on his own every single day. It isn't libel to say Trump is a moron, its a fact.
