Good TKD is generally a bit quicker than MT imo, but not by a lot and the impact of some kicks are far more significant in MT, though there are exceptions like the spinning/turning side kick, axe kick if you're super dexterous, or a spinning hook/heel kick. MT is a bit more...idk, "hardcore" I guess. Elbows and knees plus striking with the shin instead of the foot with kicks. ---
