Can I just say. JFC! My mother and aunt are again, right now in the next room talking about what a miserable, life ending monster my grandmother was to them.
Every time they get together. Or with my other aunt. Or just randomly when they talk with me or my brothers. I swear to holy god on high that at least once a week one of them brings up a horror story about the mental manipulation and mind games that woman played on them.

They cannot get past it. They cannot get fucking past that woman and she's been dead for 23 years now.
They all went off and were successful in their own ways in life. Yet here we are. For my entire life it's been this. My oldest aunt is 75 and. She's outlived her mother at this point. But still, for whatever reason they all have to relive it all with one another. Sharing the stories of how she treated them to each other and us. And it isn't new. It's just rehashing the same fucking stories I've been hearing for 35 years now.
Bah. Is this just my lunatic family or does anyone else out there have family that is this screwed up in the head and after this much time has passed?

I can hear right now the same story they shared just a christmas and before that on Thanksgiving. "I came home and my sister was crying and she wouldn't tell me why." Okay. And? Is there more to this story? No there isn't.

OMFG my aunt just said in regards to my grandmother and my mom's choice in men. "Just get over it" Really? I mean, fucking really? None of you have gotten over this stupid shit for decades so you're one to say that.
