I don't think Super Mario Odyssey was that great. There, I said it.
The appeal to nostalgia was nice, the graphics were wonderful, the controls worked well, and the Power Moons were often hidden in very creative ways, but after completing the main story, I have little incentive to continue. I've put about 10-15 hours into the game and have about 320 Power Moons (it's crazy how dense the Moons are, if you do the math that's like 1 Power Moon at least every 3 minutes, not including time spent just goofing around). I'd give the game like an 8.5/10, but it feels so soulless and empty I'm not sure what else to think. --- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XiCtAUrZbUk -- Defeating the Running Man of Ocarina of Time in a race since 01/17/2009. -- ... Although I didn't feel this way about Breath of the Wild. I've got 160 hours in that game and I still want to continue playing. Same with Stardew Valley which I've put 80 hours into.
