22 y/o Cornell University Student and Upstate New York Beauty Pageant Winner..of which i'm still scratching my head over, Neetu Chandak has to receive THERAPY after she appeared on Fox & Friends to voice her outrage for a course critical of Donald Trump and has now received HARASSMENT over it!!

She said "It's difficult to express my conservative views as a college student without being called names, attacked personally or even threatened my peers"

The America Confronts The World course description states "Donald Trump and Barack Obama gives us 2 visions of America and of the world: xenophobic nationalism and pragmatic cosmopolitanism"

It compares how the 2 have handled race, religion and more but it doesn't pit one as being better than the other.

Neetu, who won Miss Upstate New York's Outstanding Teen and Miss Seneca Falls in 2013 and 2016 said comparing and contrasting the 2 was "ridiculous"

She said she wasn't there to show displeaseure of the course but that it was ridiculous to compare 8 years of Obama to 100 days of Trump and said "While i expected disagreement from many Cornellians for my views, i was mentally and emotionally unprepared for the backlash and name calling. Consdering that Cornell University's College Republican President was assaulted after Trump was elected, shoved to the ground and called a racist b****, threats here are joke."

She was afraid to leave her apartment and go to class and considered going all online because people might throw TOMATOES at her.

The Cornell Sun even ran a story quoting a college Republican who was skeptical of why she went on the show but she said they took them out of context and misused it in a deceitful way to make it opposed to what she said.

But Neetu said "I believe that banning hate speech suppresses those with unpopular ideas, like mine. Moreover, who determines the hateful rhetoric and where do we draw the lines?"

She said Conservatives on college campuses are facing condemnation and she's not alone and that people like her are facing isolation for not stating what they believe in.

One of the conservative values Neetu said she's been attacked for is that she doesn't approve gay relationships which she says MILLIONS believe the same but are too afraid to say it.

Not even going to read. I just came in to say that pretty much anyone who gets sufficient media exposure having to get therapy is not surprising in the least.

I am pretty sure that a good deal of Hollywood either needs therapy or is secretly getting some already.

I don't care about politics so don't fall into any camp nor do I vote. If someone asks me a question though I'll put my opinion forward regardless but honestly politics bore the fuck out of me.

The KKK was the largest and worse and ONLY right wing movement to gain any politcal/cultural traction. They all died out decades ago as a movement and the left STILL cant stop complaining about their existence.

they didn't go away. the classic idea of the klan is gone, but the intellectual and political heart of that organization is still active through a variety of organizations. They just traded hoods for suits and stopped saying the n word in public.

The amount of hatred for perceived racists and bigots is on a level that can only be logically explained if people felt those with those ideas were directly responsible for some sort of hardship in their lives.

She looks like an absolutely terrible person.

That being said, yes, I do have to keep a lot of my conservative viewpoints on the downlow, at least in a public or professional environment. Most areas in the US are very liberal these days and it can adversely affect you if you express something that goes against the liberal viewpoint.
