As it turns out, the original Abobo looked like Road Warrior Animal in days before he and Hawk started wearing spiked shoulder pads. The NES version is a composite of the bald Abobo and Jikku; a Mr. T lookalike with bug eyes. Abobo from Double Dragon is white, but Nintendo made him black.
