Shit I should've done more research, looks like an arena fighter like Naruto... so that probably means one button attacks. And the 3 vs. 3 is literally a 3 vs 3, you're teaming up with 3 other players not a Marvel vs. Capcom tag team style. I'm figuring this is more of a fanservice game than a competitive fighter, but I'm still going to give it a shot to see if I like it or not.

Interesting, so your team has 3 lives and when you or a teammate dies you lose a life, but you/teammate respawn back into the fight. So you can literally have one person die 3 times in a row...

Yeah, I'm find this battle system really obnoxious. Maybe it's because I picked Zidane or something it's way too floaty. It's obnoxious. And swapping between so many targets sucks.

Edit: Aw, looks like the game's bigger than I thought. The first 7.8 finished but and that's enough to let me play the tutorial but apparently it's still downloading more so that I can play the rest.

Turns out the game will have an in-game shop, complete with gacha system. This smacks of microtransactions and loot boxes. Sorry, but I'm not going to support any company that's going to do this in a full-priced game. They can fuck off.

No, they say it's going to be just for cosmetics and shit like that, like that makes a difference. I'm very disappointed in Square Enix right now.

The loot boxes mostly give dumb shit. Your online icon, music, phrases that you can make your character say via text...i did get a different sword for zidane. Idk if other outfits are in there.

Anyway, I'm not sure if I like it because it's a lot of AI just running away from me as I attempt to hit them. So far the only consistent hits I'm getting are from Ysh doing her holy aoe attack. I'm thinking that this will be a pass for me. Maybe later when I can get it cheap.

I was really hoping it would feel more like the PSP game, but it really doesn't. Shuffling between three enemies + two cores is really annoying gameplay to me. One of my friends who had played the game before on the arcade told me I wouldn't like it and I guess he's right so far.
