small caps are staging a breakout right now

tracking performance over last couple months there has been a tight 150-155 channel that small caps have been stuck in

they've exited that channel and are moving sharply higher

i put 50,000 in small caps early yesterday and i expect the trend to continue.

the trump tax cuts are unlikely to be permanent given the political climate around them but they are massive fuel for small caps. yet small caps' rally has been far more muted than the S&P500.

i think now is their turn to really go nuts.

Trump tax cuts are permanent anyone with any concept of economic contemporary history knows any tax increase never reaches the same or greater than current otherwise we would have an American tax system that isnt a bitch to the bourgeoise.

Ps just because I use advanced Marxist understanding of classism doesnt make me Marxist and if you accuse me of such my response is gitgudn00b

I'm sure something as volatile and quite frankly luck/guessing based as crypto hasn't made it's way onto Darkman's portfolio to any notable degree.

i honestly regret not considering it when namesbob was advising it years ago

but now it's in bubble territory

whereas the stock market, despite its highs, is not reflective of a bubble.

Not even close to bubble territory for BTC/ETH

The entire world has only put $230 billion into Bitcoin, the entire world

When it's closing in on $50 trillion then we can start getting worried

Well yeah, hindsight is 20/20. I just figured that like you said, it's in bubble territory now, so if you hadn't gotten in early you probably didn't get into it much if at all just since you don't really seem like the kind of guy to invest in something that is so volatile.
Not to say the stock market can't be that way and that small caps especially aren't that way, but it seems like the market is something you understand the ins and outs of enough that you're substantially minimizing the risk of taking a major hit. At least compared to crypto.

Sure it if we're talking long term, which includes comparing it to the amount of money in gold and pm and also stocks.

We are just barely getting into widespread adoption, beginning of the S curve. Bitcoin has been following the same ascending log channel healthily for years and there is no reason why that shouldn't continue

It looks like they have been doing pretty well too though.

I know we aren't supposed to try to time the market, but stocks have been doing well for so long. Kinda antsy about buying stuff when they're at an all time high.

i understand

every day has been a new all time high though

the options on the table are:

buy now
hope for a pullback, not get one, then buy later when it's higher

we are going into the end stages of a parabolic rally and it will be a mess after

i watch the market every day for signs of a collapse and will be taking profits when that comes
