You can actually live and survive without much help in a rural area as long as you work and don't spend your money like a jackass.

It fits almost nearly every issue.

Stuff like working conditions. In a small town everyone knows each other. An employer doesn't really have a lot of choice. So stuff like minimum wage, holiday pay etc. can be a killer for them. Corporations who are left unchecked however can be a killer for their employees.

A guy in an apartment having a stash of guns is scary. A guy who owns a shitload of land and goes shooting some local critters less so.

Even social stuff and being a creep. A person who rides the train with different strangers every day has different stuff to worry about than the person who goes to drink with the same people in the local pub every day after work.

That's pretty much how it breaks down. The inner cities are expensive and far away from any good shooting range but are closer to work , but if you live in the rural areas it's cheap and you can shoot in your own backyard but it's further away from everything.
