It took me a long time to get into it because I really don't like the art style (and I know a couple of fans irl whose interests do not align with mine whatsoever)

But gosh I like this show a lot. I went in completely blind. Had no idea it was as dramatic and depressing as it is. Sometimes it even sucks to watch. I'm so invested it's great. Too bad I'm more than halfway done.

Favorite characters are Todd, BoJack, and Mr Peanut Butter Peanut Butter is One Word

It's def my fave netflix original cartoon. the only other one i enjoy is Big Mouth but Big Mouth didn't really get laughs out of me. my favorite netflix original overall is Punisher but it'd be dumb to compare them

they could've done so much more with it. especially given the current political climate. but they kinda let it fizzle out uselessly.

Yeah the art style makes it look like a shitty adult edgy humor show, but I'm glad I stuck around to watch it. It's depressing but feels realistic. Luckily season 4 ends in a high note, so you won't feel like a piece of shit (though season 4 in general made me feel like shit watching it through).

i just thought it was nice seeing bojack try so hard to protect someone other than himself, even going so far as to blow off his premiere at the festival to do so, even if it was by accident. i also thought it was pretty

they're completely diff shows. i think the drama in rick and morty takes a clear backseat to their humor, whereas there are times in bojack when it's completely relentless

I did get the impression he was depressed from the first few episodes of the series. His massive alcohol less severe drug abuse and constant one night stands pointed that to me.

I think Hollyhock really pushes Bojacks development.

season 4 is great because you see Bojack actually start to improve and you see everyone else around him start to unravel.

Also Mr. Peanut Butter is my favorite character.
