Gandhi, with all of his faults, was still an incredible man and the epitome of altruism. Mother Theresa is a phony and a fraud, she didn't help half the people she's credited with helping, if she even actually ever helped a single person. Add to that that she forced people to go through unnecessary suffering while using "god's plan" as her excuse. She was a horrible person and the world would have been better off without her.

You're right they can't be completely virtuous but they can simultaneously do one good thing and be held accountable for their misdeeds. I strongly stand by the fact that Mother Teresa did more harm than good and her Sainthood is fraudulent and was more about positive publicity for the Catholic Church than contributions to mankind. --- Sometimes people come along and they want to change things. iClockwork posted...Mother Teresa was a was a hypocrite and fraud. Doesn't seem you read the link. The issue is that all of the criticism directed at Mother Theresa is for the things that she gained international fame for, so its hard for people to expose her as the fraud that she is since her supposed "good works" (which can be described as torture porn) have been coopted by so many other people and organizations that have a monetary reason to defend her. Basically everything that she gets credit for has actually been proven to be not only unhelpful, but truly counter productive. That's not even getting into her fight against giving out free contraceptives in Africa. But I guess that can be filed away under the whole "No one is completely virtuous" argument. --- Now you can't call me a sigless user. ... Copied to Clipboard!
