Korea announced they will try to ban crypto (eventually). Everyone shit their pants and panic sold. it isnt really an issue though. The same thing happened when china announced a ban, and everyone just moved to the black market. This is one of those irrational drops that are good money making opportunities if you have the cash to buy more.

At this stage, i dont think its possible for countries to ban cryptos. Aren't corporations using eth and such? Ripple supposedly joined up with moneygram, too.

in regards to mining: do you guys know if it matters which pool you use? if i use a smaller pool with less users do i get rewarded with more since we are doing more work with less miners?

is it less profitable to join a huge pool?

BAT specifically is a pretty long hold, they've got some pretty incredible stuff in the works but it definitely isn't going to happen overnight.

Months minimum, years is not out of the realm of possibility. Obviously I'm essentially guessing, but it's a much safer guess to play it safe than it is to just assume it will quadruple in a month.

Damn litecoin is so fast. I got my transfer in like 5 mins lol. Bought 166K COLX just now. I'm praying to GOD it hits $1 by the end of the year, but that's some wishful thinking. sort by time active and you'll see that the initial payout occurs after 2 days 12 hours

Yeah according to his video he received 3 payments 5 days after starting his masternode. Masternode started on the 23rd and his last payment was on the 28th. I expect a similar result.

After block 388800 masternodes receive 20 ALQO. After block 475200 the system switches to Proof of Stake, making miners irrelevant. Block rewards are then split between masternodes and stakers.

PoS Block Rewards
Block 475201 - 518400 = 50 ALQO
Block 518401 - 561600 = 25 ALQO
Block 561601 - 604800 = 10 ALQO
Block 604801 - infinite = 5 ALQO


Proof of stake will likely set in sometime around November this year.

I'm not sure how they will be split, but you're right, the main draw of this is that ALQO will likely be much higher in the coming months than it is now.

That's why I'm hesitant to even cash out the rewards I'm currently getting.

I see South Korea said there wouldn't be a ban and see most of the charts trending up again yessir. Figure I'll ride the ZClassic wave into the BTCP fork then sell half of it off if it doubles or comes close. DBC needs to creep back up and I'll be sitting good again. Bnb is lowkey excellent to hold too. Minimizes the trading fees and creeps up steadily with everything else.

There's finance news outlets. Often when a company of some significance is planning to launch a cryptocurrency, it's mentioned here and there in news articles. This also gives you the time to do a little more research about that company, thus making a better estimate whether it has a solid chance of success.

IOTA on the other hand was getting a lot of hype in early December, but has only went down from there.
