Pros: Everyone gets to play it, the original creators who know the spirit of the games get another go at it. Cons: May turn out slightly low-budget-y like Yooka Laylee is. Not bad, but noticeably indie feeling. Scenario 2: Rare/Microsoft decides after sitting on the franchise for a decade and a half to make the sequel fans are waiting for, with a proper budget. Pros: idk... You get to see Rare logo attached to it? Cons: New Rare has basically no one left from its golden years, so it might not turn out the way fans want it, only available on Xbox. Scenario 3: Nintendo randomly acquires the rights to Banjo Kazooie and puts either EAD or Retro on it, likely resulting in a Mario Odyssey level of quality. Pros: Basically all games created by Nintendo EAD or Retro are great. Cons: Only available on Switch, game gets handled by devs that never worked on it before. --- AKA Level 36 ForestWanderer / ObjectiveLogic ... Copied to Clipboard!

Between Rare shitting on it and Playtonic totally half-assing it, Nintendo is the only logical choice.
