Current Events > How do speed runners accurately record their times?

Like if you're speed running a ps4 game what I see most runners using is a computer program that requires them to press a button to log their time. When certain speedruns can be as close as like 1/10th or 1/100th of a second, isn't that like a very inaccurate way of doing it?
