i dont have it, but im pretty sure that's how it works. only downside to me seems like you can only use it if you buy the ticket at the theater on the day of the movie, you can not use it if you order tickets online or want to order in advance if you're into that sort of thing.

I'm waiting for my card to arrive. I've gone to the movies like 3 or 4 times in last 5 years or so but my theater recently upgraded their seating and starting serving beer so I'm gonna try to go more.

And even if I only use Movie Pass once a month it's still a better deal than buying the tickets the conventional way.

Yes and its awesome once you finally get your card.

Took 3 months yo get me card after bunch of times trying to contact customer service.

Do they allow multiple ticket purchases yet? All the theaters nearby have reserved seating and it's a pain having to have two accounts to get two seats together.

You should see if it is one of the accepted theaters. Long as it doesnt charge more than 14 bucks, should be good

I did check, i have a hollywood and then the fancy AMC... The amc is 5 minutes from my work, i like the idea of i could just chill and watch a random movie after work.

Yeah it's pretty nice, you can use your AMC stubs card with it too so you rack up points as well. Wish AMC would stop being bitches and let them do e tickets. It can be mildly annoying if you want to see a big release movie since all the good seats are already reserved. And I'm not going to go to the theater to buy a ticket in the am to watch in the evening.

Magic and selling your activity to marketing agencies. I'd imagine they are trying to partner with the big theaters to show more people will go to shows and thus buy more concessions.

If its listed than it should work. The card they give works as a mastercard. They put money into it after you check in with the app you use yo buy your movie ticket.

I'd imagine they're taking the loss up front just to get large subscriber base and then leverage the theaters into making a deal since they don't really make much off tickets anyways, concessions are where they make all their money, so it ultimately becomes a win/win for both sides.
