I sincerely hate to let you down, but out of the the four main factions, the Zora one is clearly where the writers put the bulk of their time and energy.

I am glad that at least the Zora questline was very well done. Like the memory hunt, I appreciated that the story could be directly enhanced by your sense of exploration: before I'd even met King Dorephan, I already knew that he'd worked through the grief of losing his daughter by picking up an entire Guardian and chucking it off a mountainside. And even something as simple as having the entire Zora clan show up and cheer you on after you freed Vah Ruto was such a treat. It still kind of baffles me why they couldn't even give half the love they gave the Zoras to the other 3 factions and the ending.

I disagree. The Gerudo probably got even more love than the Zora, and the Gorons also got a healthy chunk. The only faction that felt shafted were the Rito.

I somewhat disagree with this. The Gerudo definitely ended up being second best, and while I wouldn't necessarily credit the Yiga fort and the delightful Master Kohga as being part of the Gerudo faction, they were still technically part of the Gerudo questline. The Goron faction on the other hand fell pretty short imo; pretty un-compelling intro quest, tedious Divine Beast entrance quest, and easiest Divine Beast. The young fraidy-cat Goron whos name escapes me was a decent enough character, but still fell short of the likes of Sidon and...umm, Gerudo leader girl.
