Honestly, it's not worth getting into Naruto, either the anime or the manga. If you didn't grwo up with it, there are better things to get into nowadays.

I'd love for a Kai version of Naruto that cut out the ridiculous amount of flashbacks and verbose move explanations and got to the point. The few panels of actual fighting in Naruto are actually pretty cool. There's just way too much filler in between.

Though I've heard the story degraded quite a bit by the end.

Yeah I heard Naruto was infamous for filler but I thought they were just episodes that could be skipped not literally main story episodes packed with flashbacks and pointless filler.

Most of these episodes that revolve around Naruot are the same.

There actually is a Naruto Kai, its like 70 episodes (hour and a half a piece) and covers the entire series. The catch is its a fan edit, not an official piece of work and I dunno where to get it but if you do some Googling, it shouldnt be too hard to find.

Eh, I doubt the quality will be very good if it's fan made. Also, I prefer dubs and I'm assuming that would be a sub. I'm sure they'll do it eventually, though. Probably within the next ten years. This rehashing old stuff with a new series thing or redistributing an old series thing has been trending upward for years now.

Of course I suppose Baruto has to end first.

For anime fans that grew up during the days when One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, etc. were all airing; when we say filler, we're referring almost exclusively to content that wasn't in the manga. Naruto and Bleach in particular were infamous for it, as many times the story arcs from the manga and the filler arcs would trade off after every one. In Naruto's case, the latter half of the show (before it became "Shippuden") is entirely filler material that's not from the manga.

Rather, a Kai that actually reanimates stuff. Kai kinda suffers from using all the old footage, barely touching up a few frames every saga.

Fair enough.

I have basically sworn off all these anime with hundreds of episodes for this reason. You have to realize these guys have to make an episode a week for years and in Japan these anime literally run all year around without stops like a soap opera.

And Im watching Naruto vs Neji. God this is awful.

Watch My Hero Academia. It's released seasonally instead of every single week, so it has little to no filler. The pacing is good, the animation during the fights is stellar and it reminds me a lot of Naruto during it's prime.

Another thing during the whatever her name is and the Shikemaru everything is a drag guy fight everyone constantly had to be explaining everything.

Like when he catches her with his shadow possession and then his teacher had to spend a couple minutes explaining what just happened then literally right after whats her name explained the exact same thing. Stupid stupid.

And yeah I understand why based off what you guys post but damn I just cant believe some of this stuff.

Oh good next episode we gotta explain it all again with flashbacks!! Why not both!

Whenever I watched Shippuden, but could apply to Part 1 also, I would just start skipping all the flashbacks that ive already seen. It makes getting through 500 episodes alot easier.

And make sure to stop watching Naruto (part 1) after episode 135, its literally 80+ episodes of a new enemy of the week.

Naruto started pretty strong, but dropped really fast. The manga, not the anime. I, personally, never clicked with the anime.
