Let me put it another way. I'm completely desensitized to the hard n, f, and r words in online games. I've been playing them so long there's nothing I could hear that shocks me anymore. I've heard kids have meltdowns towards their parents, I've heard straight up domestic abuse, babies crying unattended, etc.

I usually just mute people and turn off mic stuff and only use it in a party.

I don't think this is a painful experience though and if TC is black with black friends I'm sure he hears the word more than once (different version or whatever). Its like when Katt Williams joked about people throwing rope at him, is he supposed to be scared of a rope?

I have to wonder how many black people telling you that this word is hurtful it would take before you start to consider that maybe it's hurtful. Like all of them? Because that's basically where we're at now.

I don't presume to understand what it feels like personally, but at least when a bunch of other people relate their experiences to me and their testimony is consistent, I shut up and acknowledge their position. I think there's a certain level of narcissism required to do otherwise.
