This. The power scaling was never very good for most of the series, but Super takes and semblance of a power scale and completely shits all over it.

But Super is alright if you don't take it seriously.

Are you telling me that Vegeta is honestly PURE hearted? He might had become better person, but he's still bad, and cruel. He has so much anger and hate. The guy in Dragon ball who is with Babidi can kill anyone who has even little bit evil in his heart but he couldn't kill Goku Goku definitely has pure heart, Gohan and Goten might have, but Vegeta sure as fuck don't.

roshi isnt one of the 10 strongest fighters in the universe

roshi was brought to the tournament of power specifically to use his experience dealing with opponents who use trickery which the stronger fighters would have a harder time dealing with.

which was explained when roshi fought a girl who traps people in illusions. he tells her that her power would make her a real threat to universe 7s stronger fighters and then he gets rid of her in a way no one else would have been able to.

krillen, tien and roshi werent brought into the tournament for their raw power. they were brought in for there abilities because the tournament has rules.

goku, vegeta, 18, 17, freeza, piccolo and gohan were the ones brought into the tournament for their raw power

yep and since the tournament of power is a huge battle royale with all 80 fighters fighting at once on a huge battleground its a lot easier for trickier fighters to pull off their annoying abilities in the chaos

my 2 favorite characters piccolo and andriod 18 both made it to the top 15 which is further than i thought either would make it

It's different in some anime where there is a build and some precedent to it. Think Hunter X Hunter for example. Hell, even look at My Hero Academia where we've already seen the most powerful being to have ever existed, so everything is building to that.
