A very good episode. I like the way they made an almost perfect blend of technology and old fashion spooky story telling la museum artifact sideshow. They did a really good job at telling multiple stories that naturally led to the climax at the end. I think by the end though it was a little hard to understand how some of the technology was working. It was like they skipped over some of the rules of the story to get where they wanted to with the plot. At that point some things were confusing, like how did her mom get in the toy monkey, and what the hell was the heater about, besides setting it on fire, which wasn't the easiest way to burn the place down, so the long play on the heater was weird. Still, those are a couple of blemishes in an otherwise fantastic tale, unique and full of twists and turns.

Her mom was in her head, not the monkey. Attempting suicide probably put the mom in a vegetative state. The person in the monkey was the same lady in the story he told

I'm guessing hacking the heater was to distract him from the fact that he was poisoned until the effects worsened to the point it was obvious he wasn't catching a cold or something

The heater was her ploy to get him so warm he asked for a drink so that she could poison him.

I enjoyed it. Although I still wonder how anyone could be ok with electrocuting a sentient computer and keeping that version alive forever.

Have you seen the world this shit is in? If what is lead to be true(all of the episodes are in the same universe/world) then thats the least fucked up thing

Well that does explain the heater. I still think they skipped some steps with the mom. And we should have seen Caroline in the monkey one more time. Still a cool episode.
