But few people in history have lied as excessively as Nick Saban did when he took the University of Alabama football job. Even to the last minute he denied having any interest in 'Bama at all, only to accept the job less than a day later.

"I want to make it perfectly clear. This press conference is about the Miami Dolphins and it's about the Miami Dolphins Football team," Saban told reporters. "It's not about any other individual and whatever is out there. We're talking about our football team here. The focus is how we can improve our team."

The meeting came and went, and Saban made his decision. That day, Nick Saban jumped ship and agreed to an 8-year, $32 million contract with none other than Alabama. Not only did he "just walk away from them," Saban failed to actually tell Huizenga what his plans were in the meeting that he himself requested. Instead, Saban divulged his intentions via speakerphone to his assistant coaches. When the media got wind that Saban was packing his bags, the Alabama coach was already on a plane to Tuscaloosa.

The Miami Dolphins coach denied being interested in or a candidate for the job at Alabama so many times we all lost count. But we weren't naive enough to believe him -- and Wednesday proved why. He's fundamentally unbelievable.

Last week Saban said, "I'm not going to be the Alabama coach."

This week, when the topic didn't go away -- because, clearly, it shouldn't have -- he got snippy.

"I'm not talking about any of that stuff," he said. "And I'd appreciate the courtesy of it not being asked."

Nick Saban quit. The NFL got tough, and he ran away to Alabama.

After telling us all he would not be the head coach at Alabama, he was the head coach at Alabama. The next day, he held this press conference:

Things seem to have worked out okay for Saban. Blah, blah, five National Championships, blah.

Saban will forever be a quitter.

Though Saban has said over the years and continues to say to this day that the Dolphins medical staff told him not to take Brees, one reporter says otherwise.

Bleacher Reports Jason Cole, who covered the Dolphins for years with The Miami Herald, tweeted on Sunday that Saban is lying about the situation and that it was his call to sign Culpepper.

Brees asked, Coach, I know what your doctors believe about me. My question is, what do you believe? Do you believe that I can come back and be better than I was before and lead your team to a championship?

Nick Saban paused, Brees wrote. That was really all I needed to hear. His pause told me everything.

Saban can blame his team doctors all he wants, but it sounds like he could have easily overrode the decision and taken Brees had he believed in the QB.

So he cost the team the chance to sign Drew Brees, then he left, and he lied about them both the whole time. For the past 11 years I have said this, and for the rest of my life I will say this, with every fiber of my being: Fuck you Nick Saban, you lying sack of shit.
