The family hated episode 4 (and didn't get what was happening), but I liked it as a person who kinda deals with training machine learning algorithms

I think they were stuck in the mindset that (episode 4 spoilers) the show is mainly about futuristic tech that's like 50+ years in the future and didn't see how this episode was about "current" technology

If I remember correctly the DSM-V classifies serial killers as people who make several (calculated) kills over a span of time.

Only good episode was the romantic interracial episode, and even that was mediocre.

That episode was the only one I didn't care for. It was not realistic with the first kill with the MC and didn't make sense why she'd keep going thinking she could get away with it.

That episode was the only one I didn't care for. It was not realistic with the first kill with the MC and didn't make sense why she'd keep going thinking she could get away with it.

The only thing that didn't make sense was why the insurance girls company didn't log where their employee goes for work.

Why do you take contention with the fact that it was an interracial romance? It didn't ruin the episode for me, far from it. She was cute and sexy as hell.

I've only watched the first 3 episodes in season 4, but I thought the first episode was amazing!

Last season's romantic feel good happy ending episode was better though, by all counts.

I think you're the only "race-baiter" ITT... In all the discussions about season 4 you're the only person I've seen mention that it was an interracial relationship. I would hope that in the modern society that would be a completely irrelevant "point".

Also I don't know how you could not like the final episode. It's probably how all the episodes should be - lots of short stories in one, instead of drawn out plots that you crack like ten minutes in.

you're the one baiting though, you don't need to include interracial to define their relationship, and you don't need to specific the religious ethnicity of the woman from the other episode.

So far the only episode this season I disliked was episode 2.

The idea is that the system will simulate that exact situation (or close enough) a thousand times. Of those thousand couples, 998 cared enough about one another to completely reject the only life they'd ever known and take a chance on an unknown outside just so they could be with one another. The other two presumably parted ways and went with the soulmates the system provided.

I think the way it works is that

It runs a dating simulation 1,000 times, and in 99% of those cases, that couple specifically wound up together and rebelled under threat of "exile".

Presumably the system isn't perfect, so even in cases where it does calculate a perfect match, it's wrong in .2% of cases.
