Why? For not wanting coked out fools trying to move 160lb half kegs, operating forklifts, fucking up the brewing process, knocking over a bourbon barrel and watching thousands of dollars of profits spill onto the floor (something one of the cokeheads did last week).

Drinking on the job is literally part of my job description. It's my job to ensure our beer has the proper taste, carbonation, lacing, head, astringency, etc etc. Days where I have to drink our beer for quality assurance I do not do any form of brewing nor physical labor for liability reasons. I sit in our lab and taste beer while recording notes on it for other brewers and our chemist.

I don't actually get drunk. I sample a few beers in a 5oz taster.

Being a rat is far worse for them than their coke habit, especially if they're productive employees who show up on time everyday.

One of the cokeheads is a drug dealer (sells Xanax, wax, dab pens, etc etc). And no, they don't show up on time. 2 of them were nearly an hour late a week ago with no notification and decides to drink a 5th of Jameson before starting their shift. I mean shit, one of them decided to go leave and buy liquor while staying on the clock.

I don't give a fuck about their personal lives, they are disrespecting my time and the companies time with their addiction. They would literally leave mid shift to go do rails in their cars.

No one wants to "rat someone out"...but if your brewery was shutdown because these drug addicts did something stupid it would be very bad for a lot of people.

Easy choice. I don't care if they do coke, don't do it on my time when I'm having to pick up slack cause they're busy out in the parking lot or bathroom snorting blow and being a liability.
