They've raised the price of the TV package by $20, but it's still a lot better than what I had with Time Warner Cable. The interface is super responsive, and the perks are much better. Free TB of Google Drive storage, I can record 8 TV shows at once, and there's tons of space to record TV shows with. I want to say it's 2 TB, but I can't remember.

$70 for Gigabit internet
$80 for the basic TV package

I can also add/remove HBO, Showtime, and the sports package any time I want. When Game of Thrones or Westworld starts up, I add HBO. When the season ends, I remove HBO. When Homeland starts up, I add Showtime.

Last year I added the sports package during the NFL season, but this year I didn't do that. Haven't watched as much football this year any way.

Yeah, if you can get access to it.

Meanwhile, some of us still don't get any landline internet access.

Expensive, yeah, but I think the perks make it worth it. I miss the days when it was just $60, but an extra $20 isn't gonna hurt me at all.

I've been very happy with it, we've had it for about a year. No outages in that time. I'd post a speed test but I'm on my phone - I tested around 65 Mbps duplex on my wireless network.

Yes, you can.

I have the TV service because:

1) I don't always have time to watch the TV shows I follow, and I can go back and watch them anytime I like. Yeah, you can stream episodes online these days, but that's typically only for a certain period of time.
2) Sports

There is this new invention called torrents.

Yeah, but I don't always feel like torrenting things when I can just record and watch them. It's very tempting to just torrent everything with as much bandwidth as I have, but... Yeah, it's simpler to just record them on TV and watch them on TV instead of having to hook my TV up to my computer to watch the torrents.

Cord cutting is becoming to common these days. Honestly the cost of TV just isn't worth it anymore.

I know that ISPs have mostly stopped sending DMCA notices. Have the lawsuits in that regard died down, too?
